Mistlamp
Elke auto moet verplicht voorzien zijn van één mistlamp linksachter op het voertuig in Nederland. Dit geldt ook voor aanhangwagens en caravans. Enige uitzonderingen zijn auto’s die gebouwd zijn voor 31 december 1997. Deze mistlampen dienen voor een beter zicht op de weg. Voor de bestuurder zelf, maar daarnaast ook voor zijn medebestuurders in het verkeer achter zich en voor zich. Zo kunnen zij het voertuig goed opmerken in het verkeer. De mistlampen zijn vaak wit of geel gekleurd. Aan de achterkant zijn het twee lampen die helder rood licht gekleurd zijn. Deze lampen mogen alleen gebruikt worden bij mist, sneeuw, regenval of wanneer het zicht belemmerd wordt.
